Oldaport Farm Wedding | Rebekah & Sam
This Oldaport Farm wedding shows just why these special days are about everyone involved.
Love, Laughter and fun, fun, fun
Now obviously there’s only two VIP’s – in this instance the delightful Rebekah and Sam, but we’ve shot a couple of weddings recently where bridesmaids in particular have been so much a part of the life and soul of the day.
I know this to be true when I looked through the pictures to select some for this blog post, then found myself grinning from ear to ear as I remember the moments and people from the day.
Rebekah’s bridesmaids were her lovely sisters: Olivia, Jessica and Rosalind, and they were clearly so happy and carefree. This maybe why they made such a big contribution to the general feeling of a whole lot of love going on… I think they may also be a little bonkers.
You’ll notice when you look through the pictures below, that Rebekah and Sam had two ceremonies. Perhaps it was because there was just too much love around for only one? Whatever the reason, the religious one took place in another of those amazing locations that I never knew was there. Another one of those locations where you realise that no matter how long you have lived somewhere, there are still these hidden gems you have yet to discover.
Although it’s not obviously ‘hidden’, it is most certainly a gem. The Cathedral Church of Saint Mary and Saint Boniface in Plymouth has been open for business since 1858, so I guess I don’t really have an excuse not to know about it!
Onto Oldaport Farm
The following day everything else happened at Oldaport Farm, hosted by Olivia (check-out the flowers as well – insta _wetherly_). Have a look at the way the farm barn was decorated, it was amazing with so many personal touches. There was a lot of work that went into that and it was pulled-off very well. Charming and rustic doesn’t begin to explain how it looked and felt, but you can get an idea by having a gander at the pictures here.
You may have seen a previous blog with a single shot from this wedding? It’s the one where the Best man had made a comment about the bridesmaids dresses, that’s this wedding and I bet he’s still in trouble for that. Although if you look at the pic and others around it, you’ll see that there were some great expressions as a result and plenty of laughter. That’s what this wedding was mostly about for us… the laughter.
Laughter from start to finish. Smiles from start to finish, and do you know what? It hasn’t finished. Because you’ll smile as you look through this blog, maybe you’ll laugh. But we hope you’ll get just a small inkling into what a wonderful day the wedding of these two lovely people was.
Shout out to The Big Pot Kitchen for their damn fine sausages in the evening!
