Reed Hall Wedding | Natasha & Paul
We get asked all sorts of questions when we are at weddings. This Reed Hall wedding was no different.
A lot of the questions are nothing to do with photography, most often it’s the lads asking about ties or button-holes. Occasionally it’s the girls about dresses! Our couples and their guests see us, I guess, as something of a wedding Wikipedia. That’s only because we tend to go to a lot of weddings (yeh, really!), but we have picked up a lot of knowledge over the years. I’m surprised how much I do know about dresses now! But I must admit, I had never heard of a lucky chimney sweep.
Apparently it’s a tradition dating back to King George II…who knew! It was pretty cool when Paul ‘The Lucky Sweep’ greeted Natasha and Paul as they came down the stairs as the new Mr and Mrs Wilmot. He sang a little song and then gave Natasha her first lucky kiss. It’s always exciting seeing something new at weddings, something we haven’t seen before.
Reed Hall in Exeter is actually on the grounds of the Uni with some great locations in and around the building. Especially the small lake almost hidden away amongst the trees, which we pretty much stumbled upon whilst having a scout about. Add a little bit of that ‘golden hour’ light that we photographers get so excited about, then you have the recipe for a couple of breathtaking moments. All of which we were lucky (skillful?) enough to capture as you can feast your eyes upon below.
